Claudio's Quills
Claudio Oswald Niedworok has been a Broadway resident since 1999. Known to one and all as simply "Claudio," he is an artist of many talents and a true citizen of the world. Born in Germany and raised in South Africa, after many years of wanderlust on land and sea he ultimately settled in North Carolina in the 1980's where he has put down deep roots and become an essential member of the regional artistic community. His critically acclaimed live performances of his original maritime poetry and stories, works such as "Seafarers" and "Pilgrims on The Pathway," are entertaining literary evenings not to be missed. He is also host of a lively weekly radio show devoted to the literary arts, Claudio's SpeakEasy: The Literary and All Else, Tuesdays at 10:00 AM on WCOM 103.5 FM in Carrboro. The station streams live on the internet, so Broadway area listeners with a broadband internet connection can tune in by logging on to the station's website, (http://communityradio.coop) and clicking the "Listen Live" link. All shows are also archived and downloadable. Claudio also has his own literary Books and CDs, as well as visual arts, available on his website. Poet, adventurer, storyteller, author, actor/performance artist, painter, radio host and master chef are but a few of the creative qualifications Claudio can justly claim. To experience the full extent of his talents and sample his wares, visit his website, www.ClaudioArts.com. Be prepared to stay a while.
